Scalenes
- Attach from C2 through C7 and when hypertonic restrict extension, side bending to the opposite side and rotation to the ipsilateral side
- When hypertonic, multiple levels of restriction are noted for translation to the opposite side from C2 through C7, usually worse in extension
- Innervation – anterior primary divisions, C2-C7
